Jason Aldean for Wrangler’s Retro Premium Jeans

                Jason Aldean recently joined the Wrangler Family to promote Retro Premium Denim Jeans.  He has been a rising star in the Country Music industry since 2008, with high-energy hits such as “She’s Country” and “Big Green Tractor”.  Wrangler noticed Jason and partnered up with him in 2009. They decided Jason’s “hard-driving country-rock beat” would add a fresh twist to Wrangler’s jeans, like with other stars, such as George Straight.

                Jason knew he would be a good fit for driving Wrangler’s Retro Premium Jeans because he wanted “a new look that respects the past, while fitting the future”.  Jason stated that “there’s nothing cooler than a good fitting, worn-in pair of Wrangler jeans, so it’s great that with the new Retro line my fans can go out and rock the same styles I love.” Jason helped to create a modern cowboy look with his jeans that have a lower rise and updated fit (not to mention a new, hip wrangler patch).

 Jason wanted to become Wrangler spokesman because:

How to Measure for the Perfect Western Hat

            When you are measuring for your hat size, you will need a soft tape measure. Place the start of the tape at the middle of your forehead above the eyebrows. Wrap the tape around your head just above the ears. This will give you the head measurement in inches.

                The measurement in inches can be converted into a hat size for you.  The below chart that illustrates the conversion between inches and hat sizes. Take note that all manufacturers have different size points in hats. This is a generalized chart.

Measure around the widest part of your head or where you intend to wear the hat.

               Next you can choose which crown measurement best fits you.  The hat crown is measured from the bottom of the hat band, located directly in the middle of the crease, to the middle dip of the crown. Changing the size to be either shorter or taller will depend of the stature of the person. Women tend to go shorter in crown height so the hat in not overwhelming in size. In general a crown measurement is 4 ½” and can be altered anywhere between 4” and 4 ¾”.

                                                                                                                                                                                

           Choosing the right size brim is determined by facial features. The brim size highlights and emphasizes facial features.   Generally brims measure 4” and depending on the persons facial structure can vary between 3 ¾” and 4 ¼”. The brim is measured from the bottom of the hat band to the edge of the brim. The measurement should be taken in the back of the hat at the flattest part.

5 Tricks for Taking a Great Horse Picture!

  1. Ears Pointed Forward- Get your horse’s attention by making subtle noises so his ears point toward you.
  2. Feet Square- Square up your horse’s feet as much as possible so he is standing straight.
  3. Angle- Be careful when taking your horse’s picture head on. Head on shots tend to elongate the head. Side shots are more flattering.
  4. Fill the Frame- Fill the frame with the main subject of your picture, your horse.
  5. Clean Your Horse- Be sure to bathe your horse prior to taking the picture.Good Horse Picture

Preparing a De-wormer Schedule

              All horses will experience internal parasites at least one time in their life. Internal parasites are damaging to your horse’s health and well being.  Signs that your horse may have worms are weight management, a distended belly, dull coat, low energy and signs of tail rubbing. If your horse is experiencing any of these symptoms consult a veterinarian. If these symptoms are left untreated, your horse may experience more severe problems such as digestion problems and colic.

            Parasite prevention is simple when a rotation schedule is kept.  Veterinarians recommend de-worming your horse every 6-8 weeks year round. Each time you use de-wormer, switch active ingredients using a rotation chart such as the below example. Rotating de-wormer ingredients allows all internal parasites to be treated in the course of a year, insuring that each type of parasite is effectively treated.
