I love Jason Aldean’s music but I think the one song that really made me “notice” him in the country music world was “Dirt Road Anthem”. It was different, truthful, fun and had a bit of “hick-hop” feel to it. I haven’t been to Columbus in a while, it would be great to come visit and see J.A. in concert! Pick me, pick me!!!

- My favorite Jason Aldean song is by far, Amarillo Sky. This is the song that made me fall in love with Jason Aldean’s music, & him. Amarillo Sky reminds me so much of my grandaddy & everytime I hear it, I have to pull my car over & just cry.
My parents divorced when I was a toddler & my dad never returned. My Pawpaw, Willard Hollon became my father figure & never steered me wrong.He taught me all about life, history, how to work our land, and raise animals of all kinds. Pawpaw was widley known around our town as “the hay man”, because of his hay business. For as long as I could remember, he’d get off work from the county, and stay in the fields til dark, workin the hay. He was a true country boy.
On April 15, 2011, my house & my grandparents house (they lived next door), was hit by a tornado. My grandaddy, uncle, and my mom were killed. I now live with my grandmother & depend on country music to keep me staying strong. Jason Aldean will always remain a favorite.

Jason is an amazing country artist! His songs are inspiring to our country roots! One song that touches me is “Fly Over States”. It really shows how you shouldn’t just judge rural areas without visiting them and not to underestimate what great things we yield. Not all things great come from the city life. I could only get 2 two which was an issue in my house because my 3 year old loves Jason aldeen. I first saw Jason in 1997 in Georgia he was the local opener for Clay Walker and Kenny Chesney. I have been following him since then. My favorite song by him is Cowboy Lady that is on his CD that I picked up in 1997. More recently I would say Big Green Tractor.

My favorite is Amarillo Sky. I grew up on a farm and this song takes me back to my childhood!
Though this is an extremely difficult decision to choose a single Jason Aldean song, seeing as they are all fantastic, one of my personal favorites is “Fly Over States” because of the line “with a windshield sunset in your eyes, like a watercolored painted sky, you’ll think heavens doors have opened…” This line really resonates with me because I have always adored the beauty of the sunset, particularly on nights when the sky features beautiful pastel pinks, lavenders, and so forth surrounding that deep golden sun as it makes its way gracefully toward the horizon. Also, I had been fortunate to capture a unique picture of a sunset once while on vacation where the sun somehow had reflected off of the camera lens creating a cross right in the middle of the picture over the sun, and crosses remind me of heaven. Therefore, this song always reminds me of that incredible picture, that trip since we always drive through some of Jason’s mentioned “Fly Over States” when vacationing, and my adoration for the beauty in the sky since I love sunsets and stars.

I know every word to every song of his on all four of his albums off by heart because I listen to them so much! Each and every song of Jason’s has a meaning to it and all his songs can help you get through something that’s tough. Words can’t explain how much I love Jason’s music and how much I love him!
