Rod’s is teaming up with the Galbreath Equine Center at The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center to bring a new exciting equine educational series; Rod’s Round Pen. Rod’s Round Pen is a resource for horse owners to utilize and gain knowledge in important, emergency situations. Throughout the year we will be holding events such as seminars, demonstrations and discussions at Rod’s Tack Barn which will include a wide range of situations in and around the barn and arena.
Our first event will be held on Tuesday, March 5th at 6:30pm. The first educational discussion will be centered on emergency veterinary medicine. Rod’s welcomes Margaret Mudge, VMD who will be speaking and answering questions during the event. Some of the topics we will be discussing are:
- Lacerations
- Essential first aid items in your tack box
- Signs and treatment of colic
- Communicating with your vet
Please note: Space is limited at the Tack Barn. We do ask that you RSVP to this event on or before Friday, February 22nd. Please email RSVP@rods.com with your contact information as well as the number of seats you will need. Due to the limited space and educational content we do suggest attendees be 16 and over at this event. Refreshments will be provided as well as a discount at the stores following the discussion.

Dr. Mudge is incredibly talented. Congrats to you for having her as a speaker. She has vetted my horse and I believe due to her insight with him, we are where we are.
